Once your monitor is profiled make sure that the correct profile is selected under your monitor preference pane. In OS 9 go into apple menu -> control panel -> monitors -> color and select the most recent and accurate profile. In OS X go under system preferences -> displays -> color and do the same. Make sure when the monitor profile is created to name it accordingly. For example, a Mitsubishi monitor created on November 19th, 2002 could be named the following: mitsu_11-19-02.icc. Naming your profiles correctly allows you to choose the most recent profile for the correct monitor. Since most monitors need to be calibrated on average once every two to three weeks adding the date simplifies selecting the newest profile.
