As mentioned earlier it is best to work in the working space you selected earlier. In our case that is Adobe RGB (1998). In order to do this we first need to convert from the scanner profile to Adobe RGB (1998). Select Image-> Mode -> Convert to Profile. You will notice that your source profile is the same profile that we assigned in step 3. From the destination dropdown menu select Adobe RGB (1998) as in Figure 6.

We now have an image that has been color managed from input to working space and because our working space is a device independent working space (Adobe 1998) that is universally accepted anyone with a profiled monitor will see the image correctly. Now we can proceed to make color corrections and any other changes to the image that we would like to make. Once completed save your image and embed Adobe RGB (1998) in the save dialogue box as show in Figure 7. You now have an image that has been color managed, color corrected and retouched, saved in a device independent color space ready to be retrieved and converted at any time to any output profile.
